It was the most interesting relationship to watch, and I was rooting for her. But after watching the episode, I understand why he made this choice. In the end, he wanted something more boring and more predictable. Also he said from the beginning, he isn't a very passionate or a very emotional person, he doesn't believe in love at first sight. In this episode, he said that the strength of his emotional response to Anneti after their first date frightened him. I think he pulled back purposefully. He is not the man for her, she deserved someone better, someone more courageous and more passionate. As far as them spending the night together, I think it was clear it was her choice. If she wanted to, then why not? It was with someone she was in love with.

Великолепная работа. Простите, господа критики, что не в унисон, но я согласна с интерпретацией каждого образа. Даже больше - фильм расставил все точки в моём восприятии этого романа. Всё сошлось! Огромное спасибо авторам и актёрам.
